Description

As the Director of Sales for Full Service, you will be responsible for leading the sales team and driving revenue growth for the properties through strategic sales initiatives and partnerships. Reporting to the Cluster Commercial Director, you will develop and implement sales strategies to maximize occupancy, increase market share, and achieve revenue targets across all segments.

Key Responsibilities:1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and action plans to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. Identify target market segments, key accounts, and sales channels to maximize revenue opportunities.

2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Provide guidance, support, and training to help team members achieve their sales goals and professional development objectives.

3. Market Analysis and Planning: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges. Use insights to inform sales strategies, pricing decisions, and promotional activities.

4. Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, accounts, and industry partners to drive business development and maximize revenue potential. Collaborate with internal departments, including marketing, revenue management, and operations, to ensure alignment and coordination of sales efforts.

5. Revenue Optimization: Develop pricing strategies, revenue management tactics, and sales promotions to maximize revenue and profitability. Monitor market dynamics and adjust pricing and inventory strategies as needed to optimize revenue performance.

6. Sales Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales performance metrics, including booking pace, conversion rates, and revenue per available room (RevPAR), to track progress against sales targets and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management on sales performance and market trends.

7. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalize contracts, agreements, and partnerships with clients, group organizers, travel agents, and other stakeholders. Ensure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements and align with the resort's business objectives.

8. Trade Shows and Events: Represent the resort at industry trade shows, conferences, and events to showcase our offerings, build relationships, and generate leads. Coordinate participation in relevant trade shows and events, including booth design, staffing, and logistics.

9. Budget Management: Develop and manage sales budgets, allocating resources effectively to achieve revenue targets and maximize return on investment (ROI). Monitor expenses and control costs to ensure budgetary goals are met.

Requirements

What are we looking for?

A Director of Sales serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with a proven track record of leading sales teams to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to sales planning and performance management.
  • Familiarity with sales automation tools, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and sales analytics platforms.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, including market segmentation, pricing optimization, and contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge of the Seychelles hospitality market and luxury travel industry preferred.
