As a Hotel Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our hotel. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining financial records, and supporting the hotel’s financial goals. Your attention to detail and expertise in accounting will help us continue to provide outstanding service to our guests.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Work in conjunction with the Director of Finance to prepare and analyse financial statements and reports. Oversee accounts payable and receivable. Conduct daily reconciliations of bank accounts. Reconciles balance sheet and ensures balances are supported by appropriate documentation Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes. Monitor and control hotel expenses Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making. Build the financial awareness among members of the local management team High proficiency in excel.What are we looking for?
A Hotel Accountant serving Hilton is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. A full understanding of financial operating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
