Position Overview:
The Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for driving corporate and business travel sales for the hotel, fostering relationships with key corporate clients, travel management companies, and meeting planners. This role will focus on maximizing revenue from business travelers, corporate accounts, and long-term stays. The ideal candidate will have experience in hotel sales, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build relationships with corporate clients to generate business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy & Business Development:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to target and attract business travel accounts, including corporate clients, travel agencies, and government sectors.
    • Identify new opportunities within the business travel market to maximize revenue.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to adjust sales tactics and maintain a competitive edge.
  2. Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel management companies, and accounts.
    • Regularly meet with clients to understand their needs, improve customer satisfaction, and ensure retention.
    • Develop customized proposals for clients based on their specific needs and negotiate favorable terms for both the client and the hotel.
  3. Account Management:

    • Manage the existing portfolio of corporate accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Monitor booking patterns, ensure room nights are optimized, and manage account performance.
    • Maintain accurate records of accounts and contracts in CRM systems, tracking performance and potential opportunities.
  4. Sales Reporting & Targets:

    • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the Sales Director or leadership team.
    • Track business trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to ensure the hotel remains competitive in the business travel market.
  5. Collaborative Work with Hotel Departments:

    • Coordinate with hotel operations, marketing, and revenue management teams to align on business travel strategies and client needs.
    • Work with the marketing team to develop promotions, packages, and collateral targeting business travelers.
    • Ensure seamless communication between the sales team and hotel operations to meet client expectations and deliver excellent service.
  6. Event and Meeting Sales:

    • Promote the hotel’s meeting and event facilities to corporate clients, including planning business conferences, meetings, and group bookings.
    • Coordinate with the event planning and catering teams to ensure smooth execution of business events.
  7. Travel & Networking:

    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build relationships and generate leads.
    • Travel to key corporate accounts and markets as required to maintain relationships and grow the hotel’s business travel segment.

Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel sales or business travel management, with a proven track record of driving corporate and business travel revenue.
    • Strong knowledge of hotel sales processes, CRM systems, and business travel industry standards.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
    • Solid understanding of corporate travel needs and preferences.
    • Results-driven with the ability to meet sales targets and drive revenue growth.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Agency360 and hotel property management systems (PMS).
    • Experience in event coordination is a plus.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
  • Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
    • Ability to travel for client meetings and events.
