Definition:

The Graphic Designer and Webmaster is responsible for design, creation, and delivery of print and digital content that supports marketing activities of the resort. Compensation range is $25-30 per hour based on experience.

General Duties:

  • Work with the Director of Marketing, other team members, and other departments to develop print and digital marketing materials (magazine style newsletters, activity guides, brochures, posters, fliers, signage, websites, presentations, etc.) for resort promotion.
  • Create visually engaging layouts, selecting appropriate color schemes, typography, and imagery to enhance the overall aesthetics of print materials and websites.
  • Ensure websites are visually appealing and optimized for usability by our customers. This role will be actively involved in the planning, execution, and deployment of website content as well as functionality.
  • Oversee planning, production, and editing of video related projects (storyboarding, post-production, editing, compositing, and compression). Work with outside videographers as approved.
  • Organize and maintain video files following best practices for version control and naming conventions.
  • Maintain brand standards and consistent look across all print and digital collateral and marketing promotions.
  • Operate a digital SLR camera and video camera to capture images.

Employment Standards:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or a design-related field.
  • Minimum 2 years graphic design and production experience.
  • Preferred 2 years of video production and editing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of graphic design principles (typography, color, layout, and website interaction).
  • Expert level proficiency in graphics software including, but not limited to, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
  • Proven experience as a WordPress web designer, showcasing a strong portfolio of previous websites and ability to customize themes. Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile optimization. Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
  • Experience incorporating video/motion graphics into websites and presentations.
  • Must be able to, or can learn how to, operate production (copiers and/or printers), post-production and/or bindery equipment such as electronic paper cutter, automatic folder, booklet maker, laminating equipment, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of producing a highly polished final product.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe products.
