Due to a recent promotion, Hilton San Diego Bayfrontis looking for their next Director of Laundry!  In this role, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and quality for the hotel's linens will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a motivated, detail-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in managing laundry operations.  As a key member of the hotel's management team, you will work collaboratively with other departments to achieve the hotel's overall goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for leading a team of unionized laundry staff, ensuring that they are properly trained, motivated, and supported in their roles. Furthermore, you will play a critical role in enhancing the guest experience by ensuring that every guest receives fresh, clean linens and uniforms, you will contribute to the overall comfort and satisfaction of their stay.

As a Director of Laundry at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, you would be responsible for directing laundry and/or uniform staff to ensure a constant supply of clean, quality linens and/or uniforms for the hotel in accordance with hotel, Corporate and Department of Health standards.  Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Ensures hotel, corporate and off-site customers’ administrative requirements, meet deadlines though proper production of reports, budgeting, inventory of uniforms, chemicals, dry cleaning supplied and hotel linens including record keeping of guest laundry and dry cleaning.
• Selects and supervises all laundry and valet staff including training on Hilton standards through Performance and Excellence.
• Ensures staff training on a business demand and occupancy levels ensures linens are properly distributed to all the customers in a timely fashion.
• Supervision of staff including coaching counseling and discipline when work measures are not met frequently evaluate team members performance.
• Organizes and conducts departmental meetings and attends other monthly meetings.
• Ensures equipment is in working order and is operated and maintained according to manufacturer specifications. Inspections to ensure that Preventative Maintenance Program is effectively implemented.
• Operates department with OSHA, EPA and other governmental requirements and guidelines and corrects minor equipment problems.
• Manages departmental financial processes of forecasting, budgeting, purchasing, payroll and inventory control.
• Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.

The annual salary range for this role is $84,000 - $105,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
