Job Summary:

As the Operations Manager, you'll oversee daily and evening operations across all departments, including Food & Beverage (F&B), Front Desk, and Rooms Management. You'll ensure guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining our operating budget and upholding brand standards and legal obligations. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Operations:

    • Oversee all F&B operations, including ordering supplies, supervising shifts, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
    • Assist with Front Desk and Rooms management to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest service.
    • Manage staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives.
    • Operate department equipment as necessary and report any malfunctions.
    • Implement an effective monthly self-inspection program to maintain high standards.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
    • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work effectively.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
    • Recognize and celebrate team successes and address areas needing improvement.
  • Guest Satisfaction:

    • Serve as a role model in delivering outstanding hospitality and guest services.
    • Proactively address guest concerns and handle complaints efficiently.
    • Interact with guests to gather feedback on quality of service and overall satisfaction.
    • Implement corrective action plans based on guest feedback and satisfaction results.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Participate in budgeting and financial planning to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
    • Ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Monitor adherence to credit policies to reduce bad debts and rebates.
    • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solutions for operational challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • High school diploma or GED; 3 years of experience in Hospitality related professional area.
    • OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year of related experience.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Experience using POS systems; familiarity with Marriott applications is preferred.
    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Availability:
    • Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Prior experience in F&B operations is a must. Must be able to cover all associate job functions when necessary.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
