Job Title: Hotel Maintenance Technician

Location: Homewood Suite by Hilton Novi/Detroit

Job Summary: The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all hotel facilities and equipment. This role includes performing routine maintenance, responding to guest requests, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of all hotel systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs.

• Guest Services: Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe environment for guests and employees.

• Emergency Repairs: Address urgent maintenance issues as they arise, including emergencies related to plumbing leaks, electrical failures, or HVAC malfunctions.

• Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ordering new supplies as needed.

• Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role.
• Knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor and high-traffic areas.
