As a Fitness Instructor, you'll conduct fitness programs and assessments to ensure an excellent experience for guests and leisure members.

What will I be doing?

As a Fitness Instructor, you'll conduct fitness programs and assessments to ensure an excellent experience for guests and leisure members. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

• Deliver quality health and fitness services to leisure members and hotel guests.
• Provide individualized/group exercise activities as part of the weekly guest activity calendar.
• Be present in various hotel areas based on guest demand.
• Perform fitness assessments to evaluate clients' fitness levels and set realistic goals.
• Advise on proper gym equipment usage.
• Educate on nutrition, hydration, sleep, stress management, and overall wellness whenever suitable.
• Promote facilities to hotel guests and prospective leisure members.
• Build relationships with third-party activity instructors.
• Maintain daily opening/closing procedures and maintain cleanliness of the fitness area.
• Collaborate well with other departments.
• Conduct monthly fitness and gym inventory.
• Stay informed about hotel promotions.
• Manage time effectively to accommodate client schedules.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Provide professional certifications during yearly audits.

Requirements

• NVQ level 2 in a sport related topic
• High level of personal hygiene and grooming standards

• Passion for health, fitness and guest engagement
• Ability to adapt to different demand periods throughout the year

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Previous experience in the hotel industry
• Experience in personal training
• Knowledge of diet and nutrition
• Additional certifications such as yoga, zumba, pilates, sports
