JOB SUMMARY

Clean and maintain all corridors, vending areas, elevators and landings and service areas on guest room floors, ensuring hotel's standards of cleanliness.  Provide linen supplies for Room Attendants and stock floor closets.  Deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and Floor Supervisor.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications.  The job description is not intended to include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future.  The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

• Review assigned area and complete general removal of any trash or debris on floors.
• Check assigned floor closets and complete linen requisition to replenish linen supplies.
• Stock linen carts with clean linen and supplies.  
• Maintain clean and organized closets on each floor and ensure an adequate inventory of linen, towels and guest supplies.
• Remove all dirty linen from guestrooms and closets and place in appropriate laundry bins.
• Remove all dirty glasses from guestrooms and closets and transport to the appropriate area.  
• Return clean glasses and dishes to floor closets or guestrooms.
• Clean designated areas with proper chemicals, tools and equipment: guest room floor hallways, closets, service elevators and areas, stairwells.  
• Remove stains and shampoo carpets, vacuum, sweep, mop as required.
• Provide timely delivery of any items requested by guests.
• Retrieve items from guest rooms and return to proper storage areas.
• Transport guest laundry guest rooms in a timely manner.
• Turn in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
• Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Utilize required protective equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions to management.
• Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management.
• Maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance.
• Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
• Assist Housekeeping team when needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Good communications skills - ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 (one) year related experience in a full-service luxury hotel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, climb stairs, and push or pull heavy equipment.
• Ability to use both hands for long periods.
• Push, pull, carry up to two hundred (200) pounds. 
• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
