Restaurant Supervisor

Job Description

Position Overview:

The Restaurant Supervisor plays a key role in the daily operation of Gallery Restaurant and other outlets. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the smooth execution of service, managing staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a passion for food, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to providing outstanding hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate restaurant service during shifts, ensuring smooth operations.
• Assist in guiding the restaurant team, including servers, bartenders, and hosts, to provide exceptional guest experiences.
• Assist in scheduling staff, monitoring attendance, and ensuring staffing levels are adequate.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards of the dining area.
• Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed by the team.
• Handle guest complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Train new staff members and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to enhance team performance.
• Assist with inventory management and control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service flow.
• Assist in the preparation of daily reports, including shift summaries, sales reports, and staff performance feedback.
• Promote a positive working environment and lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service.

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience in a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including food safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Customer-focused mindset with a high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• ServSafe certification (or equivalent) preferred.
