Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, enhancing brand visibility, and leading our sales and marketing strategies across multiple properties.

Responsible for the Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, E-Commerce, Print / Online Advertising, and Public Relations efforts in all phases of the business. This position is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the portfolio. The Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing will work closely with the management team to effectively communicate industry trends and develop strategies to increase revenues across the portfolio.

Duties

  • Ensure that each hotel property is maximizing revenue opportunities by directing hotels in the development, implementation, and achievement of their annual business and market plan objectives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and assistance relating to the execution of marketing and sales functions, policies, and standards as established by the company.
  • Capitalize on the company’s marketing, sales programs, and resources in the targeting of new and increasing existing business levels with a new business that is a good match for our specific hotel properties.
  • Actively participate in the sales process via customer meetings, entertainment and attendance at the client and other relevant industry events, thus maintaining a clear and productive business relationship with all our clients and customers.
  • Direct the solicitation efforts of hotel sales staff through effective oral and written communication while providing strategic direction of rate, date and space commitments for group room sales of the property.
  • Motivate, coach and train General Managers and hotel sales team members, set goals and support them as needed, and provide appropriate feedback, rewards, and recognition.
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to maintain the current base and increase hotel’s share in the transient market, as well as, ensure the enforcement of the Company’s Sales SOP’s.
  • Directs the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales and Marketing Department to include, but not limited to an annual; thirty/sixty/ ninety-day Forecast Report, Marketing Budget Plan, SMART Plan, Lead Management System, Booking Report, Delphi Reports, Sales Meetings and Marketing Meeting Minutes.
  • Direct the coordination of ongoing research and analysis of the travel industry (local and national) markets to detect market trends and related information for the development of new marketing strategies via strategic in-person sales calls, site inspections, field presentations and telemarketing initiatives.

Experience
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Four-year college degree, or equivalent education and experience in hospitality, is highly preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of hotel industry sales and marketing experience, with at least one (1) year at the corporate level.
  • Must possess effective verbal and written English communications skills.
  • Strong technology skills with a variety of systems - Brand PMS, Sales Systems, Google Analytics, Social Media Platforms
  • Strong customer service and/or guest relations required.
  • Must be well versed and have fluid working knowledge of the following systems:
  • Microsoft Office (Excel®, Word®, PowerPoint®)
