Summary
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Interactive Specialist is responsible for the social media presence across multiple platforms and channels to foster growth and engagement. This is a strategic role that’s the voice and ambassador of the brands across all social media, managing workflow, content strategy, publishing as well as interaction with guests, fans and followers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Creates and publishes content for multiple brands and properties across the organization.
  • Monitors the brand’s reputation - responding to comments, messages and posts directed at and/or mentioning Casino Arizona or Talking Stick Resort.
  • Covers special events for social media by capturing real-time photos, video and content – some of which can happen outside of normal business hours
  • Collaborates with the Marketing team in research, strategy, and content implementation across all social media platforms
  • Maintains awareness and stays up-to-date on social media marketing trends and applies knowledge to leverage social media activities effectively.
  • Communicates on a professional level with all departments as well as vendors and advertising agencies to collect information used for generating social media content.
  • Analyzes social media activity of competitors.
    Sets up and maintains all files and records as required (photo releases, customer comments/concerns addressed on social media sites).
  • Notifies Digital Marketing Manager and senior Marketing leaders of opportunities of interest.
  • Maintains complete confidentiality, exercising discretion in the production and sharing of marketing information.

Website Management

  • Regularly updates website content including text, images, events, promotions, and special offers.
  • Ensures web pages reflect brand standards and provides an excellent user experience.
  • Works closely with design and development teams to implement new website features and enhancements.

SEO Optimization

  • Develops and implements SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and visibility.
  • Performs keyword research, on-page optimization, and ensures website content aligns with SEO best practices.
  • Monitors and reports on website traffic, keyword performance, and search engine rankings using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

Social Media Monitoring & Engagement

  • Monitors social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) for comments, questions, and customer engagement.
  • Responds to user inquiries in a timely and professional manner, fostering positive brand interactions.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to develop and implement social media strategies, ensuring alignment with overall digital marketing goals.

Website Optimization

  • Ensures website performance, speed, and mobile responsiveness are fully optimized.
  • Conducts regular audits to identify areas for improvement in terms of design, functionality, and user experience.
  • Collaborates with developers to resolve technical SEO issues and improve overall site performance.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Tracks and analyzes digital marketing performance, providing regular reports on website metrics, SEO rankings, and social media engagement.
  • Uses data insights to refine and improve ongoing digital marketing campaigns.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required:  
  • Bachelor’s degree with major in business, marketing, journalism, communications, public relations or advertising or related field strongly preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a professional marketing environment, casino industry preferred, with online marketing campaigns and social media experience; or an equivalent combination of work experience and training in marketing, advertising, PR, online marketing or similar field preferred.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in managing a variety of online and social media platforms for business (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Yelp, Snapchat). Must have knowledge of social media publishing and listening tools, such as Sprout Social and Spredfast. Knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as basic Adobe Photoshop or graphic design.

Other Qualifications

  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Up to date on current trends and best practices in social media.
  • Must demonstrate excellent client communication and project management skills, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced dynamic work environment.
  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills and an adaptive writing style for different social media platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communications and customer service skills required.
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment to identify opportunities to maximize the brands.
  • Must be a team player and willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must always present a well-groomed appearance.

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to secondary smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
