Compensation: 28.85, Temps plein, Monday-Friday

Assists the Payroll Manager in processing time records, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records and calculating payroll in compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws for Ocean Reef Club.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain/audit employee records (Personal Action Forms) with regards to paycheck/payroll changes

Audit all F&B Gratuities in Evention, help managers with variances and import into ADP Timecards

Distribute weekly Service Charges to managers and import into Timecards

Audit Bi-weekly and Monthly Commissions and import into Timecards

Review Timecard jobs, hours, rates, and PTO accruals to ensure accuracy

Assist with maintaining ADP Workforce Now, Enhance Enterprise Time, ADP Time clocks and      Interfaces to ensure accuracy and conformance to law

Create and review payroll (earning and deduction) batches to ensure accuracy

Preparation of the Daily Payroll Labor Report and Daily Piece Rate import

Prepares and distributes approaching overtime reports and other reports as requested

Resolves payroll discrepancies

Void and Reissuing of lost/stale dated checks

Prepares reports for other payroll data including but not limited to: 401k, deferred comp, payroll tracking, payroll balancing, audits, PTO accrual, insurance, earnings, garnishments, and payroll taxes

Interprets company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures

Special Reports/Projects as assigned by Management

Sorting of checks for Department distribution

Set up housing deductions: activating and inactivating

Process garnishment and levies

Create Journal Entries and GL Interface file for all Payroll activities

Account and review with Treasurer all Payroll deductions from bank: Payroll, Taxes, Garnishments, 401K and ADP Fees

Balance payments and deductions against General Ledger to ensure accurate processing.

Assists with audits as directed by upper management

Preparation of government reports as directed by the Payroll Manager

Respond to monthly Department of Labor employment inquiries

Assists with the administration of record retention for Payroll files according to the Department of   Labor rules and regulations

Assists with training new managers and associates

Maintain security of payroll records

Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications 

The individual should possess all or most of the knowledge, skills and abilities in order to perform this position in a satisfactory manner.  The position requires the ability to work well with others and to work well on their own requiring minimal supervision.  Thoroughness and attention to detail are critical to the role.  The individual must have a good math /accounting aptitude plus knowledge of calculator and word processing and spreadsheet programs.  Experience with ADP payroll systems preferred.

Education and/or Experience

       Education: Associates Degree

       Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in payroll or related area.                                           

Language Skills 

Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments.

Reasoning Ability 

The individual should possess strong logical reasoning skills which results in the ability to execute their job duties with minimal supervision and can look ahead, forecast and solve future problems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPP designation preferred

Attendance, Appearance and Conduct: 

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.  Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.

Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional. 

As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
