Compensation: 100K- 120K Range, Temps plein, Varies

Position Overview: 

The Hotel Manager is responsible for delivering the ultimate team and guest experience while maximizing revenue and business success. The Hotel Manager is a forward planner and key driver for operational execution aligned with the General Manger, Director of Sales, Corporate Office, and Brand.

Essential Functions:   

  •  Assigns duties to staff and observes performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures. 
  • The Hotel Manager is responsible for developing and influencing the leadership team. Building effective relationships through alignment and empowerment to successfully execute and facilitate an entrepreneurial spirit. This will include partnering with the General Manager & Department Heads to develop and execute operational strategies for human resources, guest relations, revenue generation, financial and brand alignment.
  • The Hotel Manager owns operational budget, forecast & expenses, including Rooms and Engineering
  • The Hotel Manager builds an effective team through dialogue, listening, strong morale, supports individual growth and successfully crossing boundaries to get things done.
  • The Hotel Manager keep an eye out for future talent, and they create a strategy for attraction, recruitment, retention, and development supported by our Human Resource team.
  • Coordinate all hotel security efforts with the hotel team to ensure the safety of all hotel guests and employees along with the hotel’s emergency response team
  • Reviews employee performance and conducts personnel actions such as disciplinary actions and terminations. 
  • Maintains accurate records relative to Front Office Operations. 
  • Conducts or assists in conducting staff meetings. 
  • Adheres to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures. 
  • Receives and resolves or assists in resolving guest complaints and employee issues. 
  • Performs functions of the General Manager in their absence. 
  • Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed 
  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services 
  • Assists General Manager in annual wage scale surveys; ensures employee wages follow wage and salary guidelines 
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Develops detailed, realistic, and comprehensive plans that support organizational objectives. Effectively allocates resources and time across groups or departments.
  • Marriott leadership experience is highly preferred  
  • Excellent people management skills including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance management. 
  • Takes an exhaustive approach to every task.  
  • Capable of producing detailed, comprehensive documentation 
  • Remains composed and conducted professionally during emotionally charged or stressful situations. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience. 
  • Previous Supervisor and Management experience in a similar hotel with similar responsibility required

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. 

The employee frequently is required to stand. 

The employee is occasionally required to walk. 

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

 Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
