Breakfast Server

The Breakfast Server is responsible for ensuring that guests of the Hilton Garden Inn have an exceptional dining experience during breakfast service. The server will greet guests warmly, take their orders, serve food and beverages, and maintain a clean and organized dining area. Breakfast servers will also ensure that all health and safety guidelines are followed and will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Greet guests as they arrive for breakfast service and guide them to appropriate tables.

•    Take and process guests' food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.  

•    Communicate guests' special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff.

•    Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner.

•    Clear and clean tables, reset table settings, and ensure that the dining area is clean and organized.

•    Replenish food and beverage items as necessary.

•    Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.

•    Follow all health and safety guidelines, including food safety and sanitation practices.

•    Assist in opening and closing duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Director. 

•    Attend all required training sessions and meetings.

•    Perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Director.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

•    Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.

•    Excellent customer service skills.

•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

•    Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

•    Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and credit card transactions.

•    Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

•    Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
