The Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza is looking for an Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to join our management team! Our 439-room Midtown high-rise is the closest hotel to the United Nations and half a mile from Grand Central Station. We’re within one mile of Bryant Park, The Morgan Library, and Rockefeller Center. Take in unobstructed views of Manhattan and the East River skylines. Our historic Ambassador Grill and iconic lobby are both official New York City Interior Landmarks.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a team builder, open to trying new things, who thinks outside of the box, and has knowledge of restaurants and culinary arts. 

Shift Pattern: Full availability is needed for this role

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 / annually

What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, you would be responsible for assisting in the direction and organization of activities and services of all hotel food and beverage outlets (restaurants, lounges, room service, coffee shops, etc.).    

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

•       Assist in the management of all Food and Beverage operations to include, but not limited to, guest service, food and beverage quality, inventory management, outlet reservations and occupancy, systems management, budget and forecasting, marketing, report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation.
•       Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
•       Develop and implement menus and food and beverage marketing strategies in partnership with the Director and the culinary team.
•       Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
•       Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
•       Recruit, interview and train team members.
