General Purpose:
The Grounds Keeper safely and efficiently maintains, improves, and repairs the hotel grounds so that our guest will have a pleasant experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Sweep all hotel walkways of dirt, debris, and cigarette butts into dustpan receptacle and dispose appropriately
Wash down hotel exterior walkways and walls with hose and cleaning chemicals as necessary
Clean garbage from parking lot and operate parking lot vacuum to remove dirt and leaves (prevent accumulation)
Sweep all cobwebs from stairwells and remove bird nests from fire alarms and overhead railings
Wipe down railings in walkways and stairwells
Mow grass, fertilize, and treat for weeds as needed
Edge mulch beds located throughout property as needed
Weed removal from all planting areas
Recommend and treat hotel’s trees and shrubbery with the appropriate fertilizer, insecticide, and other care necessary to foster attractive growth
Prune or remove dead branches or plant material that has expired
Plan and execute planting on a continuous basis to provide appropriate color for each season
Water plant material as necessary in summer months
Turn over mulch regularly to give it a fresh appearance, replace all mulch bi-annually
Read and follow safety labels on chemical bottles; refer to MSDS sheets before use; understand the uses of all cleaning equipment; operate hotel equipment in a safe and efficient manner:
