What You’ll Be Doing

Sheraton Suites Plantation is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Transient/Group Sales Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing both business transient and group segments, focusing on expanding our market share, driving revenue growth, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality sales, with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting business transient and group segments to meet or exceed revenue goals. Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and group organizers.

  • Account Management: Maintain and grow existing client accounts by providing exceptional service, conducting regular client meetings, and addressing any issues to ensure long-term partnerships.

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively seek new business through networking, cold calling, attending trade shows, and other lead generation activities. Conduct site tours and presentations to prospective clients to showcase the hotel's offerings.

  • Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate room rates, meeting space, and other services with clients to maximize hotel revenue while ensuring client satisfaction. Prepare and manage sales contracts, proposals, and reports.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Sales to align sales strategies with overall hotel goals. Coordinate with the events team to ensure seamless execution of group bookings.

  • Market Research & Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Analyze sales data and adjust strategies as needed to remain competitive.

  • Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to the Director of Sales. Track progress toward sales goals and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel sales, with a focus on business transient and group segments.
  • Strong understanding of the local market, including corporate, government, and group travel sectors.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and hotel sales software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and attend industry events as required.
