About The Douglas Club
The Douglas Club is an intimate cocktail bar in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Set in a heritage listed building, The Douglas Club will merge the luxury and glamour from the 1930’s golden age of travel with modern design and technology.
What will I be doing?
- Be operationally hands on and lead by example
- Create and serve a wide range of beverages including classic cocktails, mixers, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages
- Contribute to menu content, assist the Bar Manager with developing menu changes and promotional activities
- Receive orders and serve guest requests
- Keep the service area clean, tidy and well-prepared
- Efficiently manage the proper settlement of all guest accounts.
- Answer guest queries in a professional, polite and helpful manner
What are we looking for?
- Ability to create classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits and wine knowledge
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a high-end bar
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Flexibility in hours as you will be working rostered shifts, especially on weekends
- Exceptional personal presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and conflict
- Work efficiently under pressure
- Well-presented, organised, and have a positive nature
