The Audion Visual Team Leader is responsible for supervising the team on duty in carrying out tasks that include setting up and installing media equipment such as LCD projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors, and cameras for hotel functions/events while ensuring guests receive optimum service by the standards, policies, and procedures of the hotel and Hilton.

What will I be doing?  

As Audio Visual Team Leader, your responsibilities include:  

• Study the function requirements to plan and prepare the AV setup for guests' events and functions
• Troubleshooting equipment and ensuring events run smoothly
• Meeting with Sales team and other related documents to discuss audio, lighting, and video requirements
• Installation of electrical and sound cables and disassembling equipment after the event
• Ensuring equipment is safely and securely stored at all times
• Maintaining a proper log record of equipment and inventory movement
• Ensuring AV equipment is in good condition and performing regular inspections
• Ability to rectify and troubleshoot common technical faults and quick to offer solutions
• Ability to guide and train team members to enhance their knowledge and competencies
• Carry out tasks assigned by your superior on time

Requirements

What are we looking for? 

An Engineering Team Leader serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: 

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar field and at least 1 year of experience in supervising a small team. 
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, software like word processing programs, and industry-specific equipment such as amplifiers, computers, lighting, microphones, projectors, recording equipment, sound mixers, sound speakers, etc. 
• Ability to convert audio and video files to digital format for editing
• Knowledge and skills to repair damaged equipment
• Proactive and ability to resolve problems or offer solutions
• Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork and professionalism
• Good hospitality traits & a pleasant personality
