Description

As Assistant Marketing Manager at Waldorf Astoria DIFC, you will play a pivotal role in driving our brand forward and making significant strides within the industry. This role is crucial in supporting the Director of Marketing and Communications, focusing on PR initiatives, project management, and overseeing day-to-day marketing operations. You will collaborate closely with a dynamic team including a Graphic Design and Social Media Executive, Assistant Digital Marketing Manager, Marketing Specialist, and other cross-functional departments to ensure seamless integration and alignment of marketing strategies.

What will I be doing?

Marketing:

Assist the Director of Marketing and Communications in coordinating integrated communication and marketing activities. Build and maintain relationships with marketing suppliers and act as a property ambassador with external stakeholders and media partners. Coordinate the production of various marketing communications including sales proposals, collateral materials, newsletters, brochures, and more. Oversee the execution and supervision of marketing campaigns across multiple channels including direct mail, email broadcasts, public relations, and digital marketing initiatives. Track campaign performance, prepare analysis reports, and make data-driven recommendations for campaign optimization. Develop standardized presentations, sales scripts, and proposals. Manage content updates and monthly newsletters across F&B venues Implement and update project management systems for documenting and tracking marketing activities.

Public Relations:

Manage and execute public relations activities such as media visits, photo and film shoots, and editorial content development. Write, edit, and proofread press releases, editorials, photo captions, and fact files to meet established content standards. Conduct site inspections and maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel services and facilities. Liaise closely with commercial departments (Sales, Revenue, Reservation) to ensure effective communication and coordination. Maintain and update the department's media database, prepare monthly clipping reports, and respond to media requests in a timely manner. Take ownership of the hotel's award strategy, including researching, selecting, and writing nominations for key industry awards annually.

Social Media and Digital

Collaborate with the Graphic Design and Social Media Executive to support the development, oversight, and review of daily social media activities and campaigns aimed at effectively promoting the hotel. Assist the Digital Marketing Manager in managing and analyzing paid social media marketing campaigns, evaluating monthly analytics, and identifying key trends. Ensure all campaigns are aligned with hotel promotions and maintain brand standards. Regularly optimize website content to enhance user experience across OTA accounts and meta search channels. Implement OTA marketing strategies and monitor GDS campaigns to maximize online visibility and bookings.

Additional Tasks - Graphic Design:

Work closely with the Graphic Design and Social Media Executive to conceptualize and create creative designs for new projects, logos, and HTML content updates. Maintain an updated content file to meet media requirements and support internal and external client needs.

As the ideal candidate for the Assistant Marketing Manager role at Waldorf Astoria DIFC, you will bring a proven track record in marketing and PR within the hospitality or luxury sector. You are currently in a similar role, possibly as a Senior Marketing Executive or Assistant Marketing Manager, where you have successfully managed integrated marketing campaigns, handled public relations activities, and executed digital marketing initiatives.

You excel in strategic thinking and execution, showcasing strong leadership skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Your deep understanding of brand management has enabled you to implement successful PR strategies that enhance brand visibility and reputation.

Hilton Worldwide has announced it is to open a Waldorf Astoria hotel in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

A management agreement has been signed with Ward Holdings for the property, which is expected to start welcoming guests in Autumn 2017.

Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre will feature 247 guest rooms, as well as a range of upscale dining options, spa and wellness facilities.
