 Accounts Payable Clerk 

Summary Description 

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for performing general accounting clerical functions including processing and filing AP invoices and checks and providing general support to the Finance department as needed. 

Essential Job Functions/Duties 

• Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of WarHorse Gaming, LLC. 
• Opens, sorts and date stamps incoming daily mail and organizes online and email invoices. 
• Accurately records, codes, assembles, and reviews vendor invoices, purchase orders, receiving documents and other information for payment. 
• Maintains database of vendor accounts and ensures timely payment of invoices. 
• Addresses and responds to vendor inquiries. 
• Reviews and reconciles invoice discrepancies. 
• Reports cash disbursements daily. 
• Assists in preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries for accruals, expense, and voided checks. 
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Job Specifications 

• Must be 19 years or older. 
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior experience within similar accounting office environment or associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline.   
• One (1) year minimum experience in accounts payable or general accounting. 
• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy. 
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs. 
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
•  Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records. 
•  Must be able to read “fine print” areas of invoices and contracts.

Travel Requirements 

Travel is not required for this position. 

Work Hours 

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening, weekend and holiday hours required, based on business need. 

Certification Requirements 

Gaming License Required? Ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License.
