General Manager

The General Manager will oversee all day to day operations by directing staff efforts toward exceptional and complete guest satisfaction, employee productivity and compliance to brand standards, and hotel profitability. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures complete guest satisfaction.

Achieves financial goals.

Drives the Revenue Management process.

Ensures that daily meetings are consistent and effective.

Supports all Corporate Directives and Compliances.

Manages all hotel operations on a daily basis.

Investigates guest complaints.

Participates and steers the hotel Safety Committee.

Ensures that Quality Standards and Service are maintained for Property, Product, and People.

Provide assistance and instruction to employees.

Manages Guest Service Relations, Training, and Guest Response process.

Communicates daily with other management, and department heads and employees to ensure proper operating procedures are in compliance.

Assist in Sales calls as part of the hotel sales effort.

Must be able to work all shifts.

Participates in the development of the short term and long term financial and operational plans for the hotel.

Oversees all hotel operations insuring company policies and procedures are being followed and making sure employees are giving complete guest satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures Security for the hotel’s customers, employees, and property assets.

Remains current on business trends and local activities.

Enforces established policies and procedures for Winston Hospitality and brand.

Insures smooth operation of Manager On Duty (MOD) Program.

Prepares and explains Financial Reports for management and owners.

Assists in conducting the departmental operational audits and assists in developing corrective action plans.

Practices the Winston Hospitality Culture and ensures all cultural expectations are implemented and regularly practiced throughout the hotel.

Supports hotel’s training needs and efforts.

Monitors Guest Scores to included Signature and focuses on product improvement to include the PIP and Capital process.

Must develop Brand Expert knowledge.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:

Minimum (3) Three Years as an Assistant General Manager.

Must have a thorough financial background.

Must be exceptionally knowledgeable in forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning.

Must have thorough knowledge of all operations including rooms, sales and marketing, food and beverage, front office, engineering, housekeeping, and security.

Must have Revenue Management experience.

Must have Property Management Systems experience
