Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in the US Armed Forces, municipal police, county, or state police is preferred, but not required.

Job Summary
Our security team thrives in an environment where their presence and interactions with our members, guests, and staff are valued and appreciated. They are responsible for ensuring the general safety, security, and fire prevention on club property. The security team diligently patrols the club's facilities and property to safeguard the well-being of members, guests, staff, and the club's assets. Enforcing the club's safety rules and policies is a crucial aspect of their role. Our security officers are required to promptly submit written and verbal reports regarding any incidents that occur during their shift. Our security role serves a dual purpose: ensuring the safety and security of all individuals at the club and providing exceptional hospitality and service to our members and guests. The position of security officer requires the ability to interact appropriately and seamlessly integrate into an environment where service expectations are of the highest caliber.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Recognize, manage, and resolve emergency situations.
- Maintain a strong visual presence at our main entrance and offer a friendly and inviting welcome to all our members, guests, and staff.
- Exhibit a superior level of tact and decorum while enforcing security measures and interacting with members, guests, and staff.
- Monitor all individuals entering and exiting the premises and remain vigilant for any signs of suspicious behavior or activity.
- Conduct regular patrols of parking lots to ensure that only authorized vehicles, members, guests and staff are on the premises.
- Responds promptly to emergencies, fire alarms, and break-in alarms, and promptly notifies the Clubhouse Manager, Director of Security, and/or 911 services if necessary.
- Administers CPR, utilize an AED, and apply First Aid, if necessary.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of 911 notification procedures.
- Responsible for monitoring the security surveillance cameras and the primary access gates to the property.
- Ensures that all internal and external doors are locked, and all lights are extinguished in accordance with the club's policies.
- Support and enforce the employee-related rules and regulations of the club.
- Ensure that employees adhere to established policies by preventing them from removing unauthorized club property from the premises.
- Note and report any deficiencies in the club’s safety and security procedures and promptly report them to the Director of Safety and Security.
- Ensure precise documentation of all security personnel's activities in a detailed daily report.
- Monitor and log temperatures of walk-in coolers and refrigerated storage areas in the kitchen to ensure food safety and quality control.
- Monitors energy controls in the Engineers' equipment room
- Other supportive functions as assigned.
Licenses and Special Requirements
- CPR/AED, and basic first aid certification (Not required for hire - training provided).
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must be available to work any of the scheduled shifts, including overnight hours.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to hot, sunny, humid, cold or rainy conditions.
- Working conditions are often slippery and wet.
- May be required to work in nighttime conditions.
- Noise level in the work environment may at times be moderate to loud.
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
- Must be able to lift, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, push, pull and twist at the waist.
- Must be able to navigate stairs frequently
- May require long periods of standing and walking at times.
