Bartender

The Bartender is responsible for providing the highest quality service to guests and servers maintaining the highest quality service to guests and servers, maintaining highest cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation while maintaining control over the liquor inventory.

Qualification Standards

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field required.
• Must be legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, according to local laws.

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.

Duties & Functions

• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Complete opening and closing checklists according to standards.
• Prepare beverages according to mixing, portion control and presentation standards.
• Follow check ringing procedures precisely.
• Be familiar with the computer system.
• Assist with beverage costs.
