À propos de cet employeur

Located at 21c Museum Hotel Oklahoma City in the former Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant, Mary Eddy’s Kitchen x Lounge showcases executive chef Jeff Patton’s bold and eclectic take on New American cuisine, in an art-filled, communal setting that honors the building’s industrial roots. Menus playfully combine bold, unexpected flavors and celebrate regional, seasonal products.

The 100 year old building, an Albert Kahn design typical of assembly plant typography, has been reimagined by Deborah Berke Partners. Historic elements such as the terrazzo flooring in the original showroom (now the bar and lounge) have been preserved. Finishes and custom furnishings reflect a contemporary interpretation of the building’s industrial heritage – highly finished metals are complemented by reclaimed pine and a mix of textured and plush textiles. In the dining room, the design takes full advantage of the scale and openness of the original building, resulting in a light-filled and sculpturally expressive space.

The building, originally built in 1916 serves as an emblem of industrial innovation in Oklahoma City. One of the plant’s first employees, Fred Jones, worked his way up from production line worker to owner, purchasing the building in 1968 and becoming one of the largest Ford dealers in the world. The restaurant is named in honor Fred’s wife, Mary Eddy Jones, a passionate traveler, art enthusiast, and humanitarian who strongly believed in giving back to the OKC community. 21c and Mary Eddy’s hope to carry on her spirit, celebrating and growing OKC’s vibrant culture.
