About the Role: Seeking detail oriented Accounting professional to join our growing TEAM! As Accounts Receivable Clerk you will be a crucial asset to our innovative TEAM, creating lasting impressions for our guests. 

What you will be doing

Invoice Processing:

Generate and distribute accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.

Verify the accuracy of billing information and resolve any discrepancies.

Maintain organized records of all invoices and supporting documentation.

Payment Processing:

Process incoming payments (checks, ACH, credit card) and apply them to the appropriate accounts.

Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies.

Respond to any chargebacks issued to the property. Investigating the charge in question and providing accurate documentation.

Process deposits for any upcoming events or conventions and update the booking to reflect the deposit for our sales team.

Collections:

Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and initiate collection efforts.

Contact customers via phone and email to resolve outstanding balances.

Maintain detailed records of all collection activities.

Escalate significantly past due accounts according to company policies.

Account Reconciliation:

Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify potential collection issues.

Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payments in a professional and timely manner.

Work with the Marina Membership Director on getting new memberships set up. Creating the account, generating contracts, and collecting payment.

Work with the Director of Golf on new golf memberships, creating new accounts and keeping a detailed record of all members.

The ideal candidate for this position

Hotel accounting experience and knowledge preferred

Accounts receivable experience preferred

Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge required

Accounting or PMS software knowledge preferred

Must be proficient with 10 key adding machine

High level of organizational skills required

Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Typing requirement of 45 wpm

Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs

Must be able to sit for long periods of time

Must be able to verbally interact with guests/clients

Must be able to perform computer activities for long periods of time
