JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. BASIC FUNCTION: The Activities Attendant is responsible for conducting and assisting guests with activities that are organized for all guests of the resort. Activities Attendants oversee operation and maintain cleanliness of all recreation areas, including but not limited to: Indoor Pool areas, Outdoor Pool areas, Immersion Virtual Reality, Cinema, Arcade/Game Room, Children’s area, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Prior Recreational experience preferred
- First Aid Certification
- CPR Certification preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead and conduct activities for children and adults, including large convention groups
- Supervise and be responsible for children age’s 4-12 years of age.
- Keeping work area clean and organized.
- Being able to instruct guests on resort activities and facility locations.
- Take reservations for activities.
- Responsible for department bank.
- Reserve and process payment for recreational programs and equipment
- Oversee operation and maintain cleanliness of all recreation areas, including but not limited to: Indoor Pool areas, Outdoor Pool areas, Cinema, Arcade/Game Room, Children’s area, etc.
- Confirm and ensure that individuals accessing pool areas are registered hotel guests
- Maintain indoor/outdoor pool areas; replenishing towels, maintaining cleanliness, and alertness to any safety hazards
- Enforce pool rules and policies
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
- Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
ENVIRONMENT: Indoor, well-lit, carpeted office environment. Indoor pool facility, humidity and tile surfaces. Outdoor pool areas, weather permitting, concrete walking surfaces. Outdoor variable spaces including paved sidewalks, grass patches, covered & uncovered spaces.
