Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring seasonal Kitchen Assistants to join our team at Yellowstone General Stores in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming for our 2025 season. Ensuring the health and safety of guests through exceptional standards of cleanliness, both in the kitchen and food and beverage serving equipment, is the core of this role. What will you do?

  • Using hands or a dishwasher to clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items, ensuring all sanitizer levels on dish machines and pot sinks are at the specific requirements for health standards and regulations
  • Store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
  • Assist in food preparation, as needed, while adhering to food safety regulations
  • Assist in buffet set-up and break down. Serve and replenishfood.
  • Clean work area including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking area, keeping the kitchen wares storage organised
  • Remove trash from the dish room and transport it to the dumpster, as well as clean and sanitize the garbage cans
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Capacity to work cooperatively with others
  • No experience required

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs, placing items above and below head height
  • Standing, walking, bending for the duration of the shift, occasionally pushing and pulling to move equipment, mops, and brooms
  • Exposed to variable temperatures and damp environments

Yellowstone General Stores are located throughout Yellowstone National Park including near Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, and Canyon Village. The locations offer the opportunity to explore the more than 1000 miles of hiking trails, 40 waterfalls, and 10,000 hydro-thermal features like hot springs and geysers. We offer dorm-style employee housing or full-hookup RV sites. We also offer an employee meal program, store discounts, and recreational activities in Yellowstone National Park for our associates.
