What are we looking for?

Director of Revenue for Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi works directly with the Director of Commercial to maximize hotel revenue through daily management of room inventory and pricing across all segments. In this role you will help develop and recommend room rates and availability strategies to optimize the best mix of business through multiple distribution channels. In addition, this position will be responsible for driving analysis, compiling reports and developing models to support better decisions across the business.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. 

What will I be doing? 

  • Support hotel's yield efforts, via analysis and reporting that ensure that all segments and distribution channels are mined for revenue opportunities based on budget, forecast, pace and market demand.
  •  Maximize revenue potential and ensure proactive and accurate maintenance and management of all systems: Opera, ONQ and GRO.
  •   Assist Assistant Commercial Director in preparing short and long-term forecasts.
  •   Support Assistant Commercial Director in compiling and communicating all documents, reports and presentation for required ownership, hotel and regional leadership reporting. This is needed for daily standups/departmental meetings, weekly RevMax meetings, Monthly Ownership/Regional Meetings, Quarterly Reviews and Annual Budget discussions.
  • Own and validate all required data entry for daily, weekly and monthly reports used for monitoring performance against budget, forecast. Ensure that the necessary reports are maintained and systematically analyzed, including but not limited to: STR, Market Segment Analysis, Source Contribution, Internet Production, Pickup and Pace by Segment and Room Type Statistics.
  • Take lead in preparing documents for Weekly RevMax Meetings, providing data in terms of pricing, availability, market demand and promotional opportunities for all segments and channels. Lead the meetings in communicating all strategies and actions to executive and/or regional team and/or ownership in the absence of Assistant Commercial Director.
  •  Assist the Assistant Commercial Director in Set up and maintain Spa and F&B Revenue Management.
  • Conduct market research on competitor hotels within the industry that is seen as relevant and delivering competitive advantage to the brand.

Requirements

What do I need?

  • Bachelor Degree in any related field - Revenue analysis, marketing, marketing communications
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury Resort/Hotel
  • Experienced in managing and analyzing hotel revenue.
  • Strong (written and verbal) communications skills.
  • Knowledge to use the social platforms, key listening and analytical tools.
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development including strong financial literacy and negotiation skills, brand development, Social Media, PR and Marketing skills needed to grow.
  • Excellent knowledge of Opera, ONQ and GRO
  • Microsoft Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Hilton’s top luxury brand Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts is set to once again foray into the Maldives, with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi Resort in early 2019.

The resort, to be run under one of two luxury brands in Hilton’s portfolio, will span three islands in South Male Atoll that are accessible by a short 20-minute speedboat ride from the Maldives main Velana International Airport.
