Under the direction of the Director of Marketing Services, the Account Services Specialist is responsible for project managing the creative services input and output, furthering the overall performance of the San Manuel. The candidate selected for this role identifies areas of improvement and enhances communication processes of marketing initiatives. The Account Services Specialist monitors progress on all creative requests and identifies potential opportunities in the market via feedback and analysis of market trends. The Account Services Specialist also champions the goals and priorities of the Tribe in a manner that faithfully reflects and upholds the Tribes vision, mission, and values.
1. Coordinates marketing support services to include advertising, public relations, social media and internal departments. Quickly assigns creative requests to Creative Services team and Copywriters. Works with Creative Services team to prioritize projects and reassign projects as necessary. Reviews creative briefs and provides feedback and requests for revisions when appropriate. Maintains a close view on market trends and competitors’ products.
2. Works with requestors to determine creative needs for projects, including but not limited to collateral, advertising, and photography/videography.
3. Monitors progress on creative requests, ensures timelines are followed, and frequently communicates progress to requestors. Does quality control and proofing on each round of creative.
4. Works with the Production Team to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of creative assets.
5. Builds relationships and communication processes with departments to proactively plan marketing and advertising needs. Works closely and effectively with assigned requesting departments, keeping them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities by following up appropriately.
6. Assigns projects to external agencies as assigned and monitors their progress.
7. Attends all meetings and training sessions as required by management.
8. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related field preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in implementing marketing and advertising initiatives required.
Experience with creative project management is essential.
Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with demonstrated organizational and program management expertise is essential.
Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.
Must maintain a strict level of confidentiality and act in a manner consistent with all legal and regulatory requirements and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Must be personable and professional, capable of using caution and discretion in communication.
Intermediate technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) is essential.
Experience with Adobe Workfront is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to drive toward results.
Must have an outstanding ability to think creatively and identify and resolve problems.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a strong collaborator and team player.
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
