Summary:
The Cashier II is responsible for taking food and alcohol orders, completing sales transactions, and providing customer service within the restaurant establishment. The Cashier II may perform a variety of other tasks which may include refilling beverages, setting tables, and cleaning eating/serving areas, and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position.
Essential Functions:
Greets all guests and follows HMSHost customer service standards Informs guests about products and looks for opportunity to “up-sell” products Takes food and alcohol orders, delivers orders, and responds to any additional needs from guests Operates a cash register and handles cash and credit card transactions, accurately counts and provides change to guests as required, and follows all cash handling policies and procedures Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication Performs other duties in a team effort which may include rolling silverware, expediting food orders, cleaning tables, filling table condiments, and stocking work area Performs opening/closing duties Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
