The MAINTENANCE ENGINEER 3 is responsible to ensure luxury resort standards of safety, function, and aesthetic appeal for all resort buildings, furnishings, and equipment.
The expected base wage range for this position is: $20.00 to $44.00 per hour. This position may be eligible for additional compensation according to the Company's policies, as they may be amended from time to time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, include but not limited to:
- To satisfactorily perform, as directed, routine preventive maintenance and repairs in rooms and public areas, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
- To satisfactorily perform, as directed, routine maintenance and repairs of operational equipment, including water features, commercial kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and HVAC/R systems.
- To satisfactorily perform, as directed, routine painting and finishing tasks, including preparation, taping, product selection, and application.
- To promptly respond to service requests from guests and fellow employees.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED required. Minimum three years of experience in building maintenance or trade experience. Formal schooling in at least two of the following or graduate from accredited technical school in one of the following: Electrical, Commercial Kitchen Equipment, HVAC type 1, 2 or 3 license preferred, Refrigeration, Plumbing, or CPO. Able to read, speak, and write English, and to follow simple verbal directions. Able to perform simple calculations, using basic twelfth grade arithmetic. Must be able to read and interpret drawings and diagrams of the trade. Able to read and troubleshoot equipment using manuals. Experienced with typical hand and power tools used to perform assigned duties. Must have life safety system and gas fired equipment knowledge as well as general knowledge of building construction and materials. Must be able to distinguish colors. Hotel experience preferred.
SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Safety-minded. High quality standards for production and service. Courteous, friendly manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable. Good sight, hearing and balance.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Stands/walks approximately 95% of shift. Sits/drives approximately 5% of shift. Strength, flexibility, and good reflexes needed to operate staging and mechanized material moving devices, and to operate power-driven machinery. Regularly required to handle and move objects weighing up to 80 lbs. over short distances. Frequent use of stairs, daily. Guest facing position that may handle conflict and/or encounter individuals who may be upset and emotional at times.
TRAVEL: This position is not expected to travel for work.
REMOTE WORK: This position is not eligible to work remotely. The candidate must be able to work in-person during normal business hours.
