Job Summary

The Laundry Attendant / Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hotel's laundry facilities and public areas. This includes washing, drying, and folding linens and towels, as well as cleaning and restocking public restrooms, hallways, and other common areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and wash linens and towels according to hotel standards
• Dry and fold linens and towels
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisor
• Clean and restock public restrooms, hallways, and other common areas
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in housekeeping or laundry preferred
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

Working Conditions

The Laundry Attendant / Public Area Attendant will work in a hotel environment, which may include exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other allergens. The position may require working weekends and holidays, as well as early morning or late evening shifts.
