Definition:

Responsible for initiating, implementing, and tracking marketing campaigns to promote revenue growth. Specifically, collaborate within and across resort departments to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns to effectively protect and build the brand of the resort and promote resort activities and amenities to on-property guests and members of The Club at Horseshoe Bay Resort across various mediums and platforms (e.g., print, digital, signage, video, audio, etc.).

General Duties:

  • Engage with department leaders throughout the resort to assess marketing needs and opportunities; provide consultation on proven marketing strategies and best practices; develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns designed to engage and increase TRevPOR and increased frequency of visit from in-house guests and members of The Club at Horseshoe Bay Resort.
    1. Act as marketing liaison to resort departments and outside partners as assigned (Activities, Spa, Racquet Sports, Fitness, Marina, Membership, Ford Bronco, MasterCraft, etc.) to meet stated objective.
    2. Facilitate regular meetings with department leaders per the direction of the Director of Marketing to strategize marketing plans, gather content and assets, schedule implementation, and measure success of marketing campaigns.
    3. Develop written quarterly integrated marketing plans for departments assigned; present for review, feedback, and approval of the Director of Marketing; implement once approved.
    4. Identify opportunities to elevate departmental activations and build brand equity within each resort department assigned.
    5. Participate in Medallia tracking and provide support to address marketing related opportunities to guest feedback within departments assigned.
    6. Ensure all departmental campaign plans are integrated into the Master Marketing Calendar.
    7. Monitor, measure, and continually update best practices and analysis of performance through weekly reporting of strategy and progress of key performance indicators to the Director of Marketing.
    8. Provide weekly written updates to the cumulative monthly Marketing Department Recap.
  • Manage on-property guest communication while maintaining brand integrity and compliance with standards for all content produced.
    1. Write clear, compelling copy that reflects the brand’s voice and values, and aligns with the resort’s objectives and target audience.
    2. Work with the Creative Design team to produce required deliverables within specified timeline; including but not limited to resort website, mobile app, resort guide, seasonal activity guides, bi-monthly membership newsletter, print brochures, flyers, posters, weekly Hours of Operations/Resort Map, on-going transactional guest emails, weekly and dedicated membership emails, Tower TV screens, in-room guest TV channel, gift certificates, donation vouchers, group menu brochure, group activity guide, indoor and outdoor permanent and temporary signage, and miscellaneous collateral.
    3. Ensure proper inventory levels of promotional materials are maintained within each department.
    4. Manage the offering of guest enhancements featured on the resort website through way.co.
    5. Assist with photo shoots and video production under the direction of the Director of Marketing and/or Creative Director.
  • Work with the HR Department on employer branding initiatives and internal associate communications as requested by the Director of Marketing.
  • Participate as a member of the marketing team to assist in the production and communication of resort events and promotions as assigned under direction of the Director of Marketing and/or Creative Director.

Education and or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years marketing and content creation experience, preferably in the hotel/resort/guest service industry or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress, HTML, and Email marketing platforms.
  • Knowledge of both traditional and evolving marketing strategies.
  • Excellent language, spelling, writing, editing and proofreading skills and telephone etiquette.
  • Excellent attention to detail, a keen eye for aesthetics; capable of producing a highly polished final marketing product.
  • Proven experience in measuring, recapping ROI, and replicating best practice conversion tactics.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, team environment with the ability to self-direct and be proactive in completing goal-oriented assignments in established timeframes.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow.
  • Adhere to all written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.
  • Perform in a manner that demonstrates the philosophies of Forbes 4-Star luxury service and "Authentic Texas Hospitality."

Language Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to write and edit copy that adheres to brand standards in style and tone for collateral, advertorial, and digital media.
  • Discretion and confidentiality is extremely important.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Should be very accurate and organized.
