The Counsel position will join the team of in-house attorneys and support the operating businesses and investments of TRT Holdings, Inc. and its various operating businesses, including Omni Hotels & Resorts.

Preferred skills and experience include:

• J.D. required.
• 1-3 years of experience focusing on civil litigation is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to quickly handle multiple projects independently with limited supervision, exercise independent judgment and discretion in connection with significant matters while involving senior team members when necessary, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and be a strong team player with the willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to effectively work in an environment in which you will be exposed to confidential information.
• Approachable and patient with internal clients, with passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to adapt as necessary and establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with co-workers, other in-house attorneys, and members of the various business units.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with other in-house litigation attorneys and outside counsel on lawsuit and pre-litigation dispute strategy.
• Perform legal research, social media research, and general online research to investigate and evaluate ongoing lawsuits and pre-litigation disputes.
• Analyze discovery requests and communicate with outside counsel on objectionability of such requests.
• Facilitate discovery responses, including gathering and reviewing documents and information from the field and communicating with witnesses.
• Respond to third-party subpoenas and search warrants as needed.
• Perform such other duties and projects as needed to improve the likelihood of prevailing in litigation matters.
• Communicate directly with internal and external stakeholders on multiple projects.
• Interact with operational teams and third-parties in a professional manner consistent with TRT’s high standards.
