Compensation: $16.14 per hour, Full-Time

Age Requirement: 21 years or older

Position Summary:

Responsible for the documentation and recording of all transactions that occur in the Cage’s Main Bank and Vault during their assigned shift; performs reconciliation to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all monies received and distributed   while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest Service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino employees & guests.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.   • Conducts vault transactions and inventory.
  • Conducts internal guest transactions to include, but is not limited to: chip, coin, E-ticket redemptions, and currency exchanges.
  • Responsible for assigned position operations and proper designated funds accounting.
  • Conducts transactions promptly and accurately while maintaining superior customer relations.
  • Prepares daily revenue deposits and manages all outside banks.
  • Prepares and accurately maintains all paperwork relating to issued impress banks and the casino bankroll.
  • Verifies, balances, and reconciles all paperwork issued on impress banks.
  • Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, accurate and efficient service.
  • Ensures an open and welcoming atmosphere that promotes skill enhancement. 
  • Occasionally performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  •  High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s Degree in Finance, Account, Business, or related field, preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years (consecutive) high volume cash handling experience, preferred.
  • One (1) year related casino vault, required. Native American Gaming experience preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification

  • Must be able to acquire and maintain Key Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs.
  • Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to perform basic mathematics to include, but is not limited to, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must possess strong computer skills and be able to operate a 10-key calculator and Microsoft applications and software.
  • Must possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity and respect for individuals.
  • Must possess the ability to make sound and accurate decisions.
  • Must possess a strong commitment to the organizational goals and objectives while showing the utmost discretion and loyalty to the organization when dealing with confidential information and data.
  • Must be able to accurately and successfully perform several tasks and meet deadlines under high levels of stress and with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate, in writing and verbally, in English and in an effective, informative, and professional manner and be able to convey denials and/or defuse internal hostile guest situations with ease and tact.
  • Must possess strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to take direction and feedback well.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills while paying close attention to details such as spelling, numbers, and grammar. 
  • Must possess a strong commitment to the organizational goals and objectives while showing the utmost discretion and loyalty to the organization when dealing with confidential information and data.
  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must possess general understanding of revenue generated mathematical calculations.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift, move, and carry 25 to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to push and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to maneuver awkward and unstable loads of coin and other products.

Working Conditions:

Work is generally performed in a Casino bank and vault setting with exposure to second-hand smoke, high noise level, exposure to various lights and sounds and a fast-paced office setting. Occasionally may be required to interact with hostile and/or angry guests.
