Bartender

DESCRIPTION

Hotel Talent New York City is seeking a Bartender who will assist in adequately executing Food and Beverage Service, Guest Satisfaction, and service standards. Ensuring that hotel guests receive hospitable and responsive service during their stay ensures guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Bartender:

• Speak with others using clear and professional language and appropriate etiquette.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
• Promptly greets quests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Communicates often and well with Hotel Staff.
• Set up and replenish the bar area.
• Responsible for ensuring all items are set up on the bar and put away at the end of the shift.
• Responsible for restocking items and reporting items needed to the Manager, cleaning tables, mopping floors, cleaning toaster, microwave, coffee machine, and food displays.
• Keep the preparation area clean.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional.

Requirements: 

• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Must be a morning person and extremely professional and customer service oriented.
• Experience preferred in services and tending bar. Food Handling Certificate and Tips Training a plus.
• Enjoy being a part of a team and working within a cohesive team environment.
• Converse with different people to provide information and deliver service.
• Stand and walk for long periods.
• Lift and carry heavy objects such as heavy trays.
• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing significantly, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Flexible schedule required for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Rate of Pay: 

* For applicants working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $17.00 per hour. The hourly rate offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
