Description

The Club at Horseshoe Bay Resort is looking for a Member Event Coordinator to add to our amazing Membership team! The Member Event Coordinator will be responsible for logistics that go into planning and hosting large and small-scale member events. This includes pre, during, and post accountability with assurance of a successful event for all members and guests.

General Duties:

  • Assist in all phases of the event, including but not limited to sales, planning, marketing, servicing, and administrative procedures.
  • Assemble creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsource to qualified vendors.
  • Plan and handle merchandising and execution of member functions.
  • Create event themes, track all of the costs of the event, ensure proper staff is in attendance.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement effective marketing plans for generating event revenues.
  • Provide hands on involvement in décor and staging.
  • Responsible for ensuring that every single guest has a great time.
  • Responsible for creativity and timeliness of event promotions; sources to include video, email, text and social media.

Event Coordinator Qualifications / Skills:

Employment standards:

Education and or Experience

  • 1-2 years’ experience and training in similar position in the hotel/resort/guest service industry, marketing or related field, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Excellent language, spelling, writing, editing and proofreading skills and telephone etiquette.
  • Photography and video production background a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment.

Language Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write and edit copy that adheres to brand standards in style and tone for collateral, advertorial and online media.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow.
  • Should be very accurate and organized.
  • Discretion and confidentiality is extremely important.
