Job Summary

The Spa and Fitness Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the spa and fitness facilities, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational efficiency. This role involves managing spa services, fitness programs, membership services, and group activities while maintaining high standards of service and satisfaction.

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

  • Supervise spa operations, including service delivery, staff management, and facility maintenance.
  • Develop and enforce protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Manage inventory and oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of spa and fitness staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews, create staff schedules, and manage time-off requests.
  • Provide coaching, handle disciplinary actions, and conduct regular team meetings.
  • Work job responsibilities of associates when business dictates.
  • Handle Manager on Duty Responsibilities as required.

  • Design and oversee fitness programs, including classes, personal training, and workshops.
  • Manage membership services, focusing on recruitment, retention, and support.
  • Analyse membership trends and adjust programs and pricing as needed.
  • Communicate updates and events to all relevant departments.
  • Handle all customer inquiries in an appropriate and professional manner
  • Maintain communication with all departments and attend relevant meetings.
  • Assists other Restaurant Personnel when need.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    4-year college degree required. Master's degree preferred. At least 5 years of experience in management required, with 2 years in top management in high quality, luxury-oriented resort spa or destination spa facility. In depth knowledge of the following: building budgets, analysing income statements; front desk operations, spa club maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Physical Demands

    • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
    • Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
