A Sundry/Gift Shop Sales Representative ensures that all Guests are serviced to the best of his/her ability during their visit. Superb personalized service, name recognition and a warm smile are of the utmost importance in providing an unparalleled golf experience.

What will I be doing?

As Sundry/Gift Shop Sales Representative, is the primary person in charge of all point of sale transactions. Works closely with the Sundry/Gift Shop Supervisor to ensure a five star quality service in all phases of Sundry/Gift Shop operation with attention to detail and proper service protocol. Will assist as needed with the operation of the entire Sundry/Gift Shop. You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • At all times follow the safety guidelines
  • You are expected to be in complete uniform (name tag, grooming standards, etc.) at the posted scheduled time and before you punch in
  • You are expected to be on time as scheduled for your shift
  • Comply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage efficient Shop operations
  • Check in with supervisor at the beginning of shift for instructions
  • Responsible for merchandise sales, assisting with telephone calls and inventory.
  • Must have full retail products knowledge
  • Assist with all retail operations, such as: shop displays, sales, pricing of merchandise, ordering, receiving, and inventory control
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly at all given opportunities.
  • To learn proper procedure for the position and be knowledgeable about the merchandising inventory
  • Informs Managers of ways to improve the overall operation, your working conditions and comfort of guests
  • Assist in the cleaning and organization of the Gift Shop
  • Interact with Guests and staff in a positive, friendly manner
  • Responsible for cash register transactions and daily sales reports
  • Inform supervisor when supplies and inventory is below par
  • Maintain a warm and friendly smile
  • Communicate any special request to designated personnel for follow-up
  • Maintain complete knowledge of merchandising inventory
  • Perform any other duties specified by manager or supervisor

Requirements

Qualifications: 

Secondary School Certificates - Required Mathematics and English Language

One year retail shop sales experience an asset

Proven track record in exceptional customer service

Knowledge of merchandising

Experience operating a point of sale system - Asset

Excellent communication skills oral and written

Proven record of driving sales/meeting targets
