This is your chance to be part of Hilton’s in-house Global Corporate Affairs team. As a Manager, Americas Communications, reporting to the Senior Director, Americas Communications, you will help implement the regional strategy that strives to protect and enhance Hilton's reputation and that of its Americas estate; promote storylines that reinforce Hilton's commitment to growth and position Hilton as an industry leader; and engage in proactive storytelling and media relations, while connecting the enterprise, region and Hilton-managed hotels in the Americas.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

• Support activities that align with the Americas Communications strategy and objectives, with an emphasis on showcasing Hilton's managed hotels within the Americas via earned and owned media.
• Engage in activities that create storytelling that reinforces our commitment to growth, innovation and culture.

How you will collaborate with others:

• Support the Americas communications team in implementing regional initiatives that support the team's objectives.
• Participate in development and hotel opening activities.
• Engage hotel-level teams for hotel news to facilitate storytelling opportunities; and support Americas communications team on aligning hotel and enterprise messaging.
• Support integrated programs, including project management, across the full Corporate and Americas Communications team.

What deliverables you will take ownership of: 

• Lead project planning and editorial calendar for proactive storytelling that features Americas-managed hotels.
• Manage content research/solicitation and selection for media opportunities; maintain content database.
• Identify target media across the region, including strategic markets within Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, and Latin America, and maintain Americas media database.
• Manage crises and issues communications across the Americas hotel estate.
• Deliver project-based reports; and manage tools used to facilitate team function.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

• Five (5) years of work experience in Communications.
• You have collaborated in a matrix organization in a global business environment
• You are experienced in implementing and measuring communications strategies and have experience in crisis communications
• Fluent in Spanish
• You can work EST hours and travel within the East Coast time zone
• Travel up to 30% of the time

It would be useful if you have:

• BA/BS bachelor's degree in communications, public relations or related field
• Large global organization or a top-tier communications agency experience
• Hospitality industry experience
• Fluent in Portuguese
