Education: College degree, preferably with a major in recreation or related experience.

Training and Experience:  Minimum three (3) years experience in recreation field.  Hotel/Resort experience a plus.  Must have a valid Florida driver’s License.

Job Knowledge:  Working knowledge of recreational programming, Summer Camp, appropriate equipment and accompanying safety features; member, guest and employee relations.

Job Summary:  Self motivated, energetic person able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.  Implement and create year round and summer recreation programs for adults and children.

Physical Abilities:  Able to work on feet; able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds, that includes equipment and furniture.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts.
2. Arrive to work on time, consistently.
3. Upon entering the property, arrive in proper attire, crisp, clean and in good repair.
4. Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.
5. Attend all required training, safety courses, office and departmental meetings.
6. Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
7. Responsible for attending all corporate adult and children recreation events as scheduled.
8. Accountable for attending all house-party recreation events as scheduled.
9. Design and implement year round recreation programs as approved by Surf Club Director
10. Emcee all recreation programs.
11. Design and supervise Summer Camp Program for children ages 4 – 12.
12. Supervise recreation staff at various recreation programs.
13. Handle all Beach Olympics.
14. Create and implement adult member recreational activities.
15. Responsible for training recreational staff.  
16. Coordinate in ordering supplies as needed.
17. Uphold reputation of Ponte Vedra Inn & Club by providing exceptional, quality customer service.
18. Setup and execute department meetings, staff meetings and necessary client contact.
19. Maintain stringent supervision of children in Summer Camp program including supervision around all aquatic areas.
20. Create year round activities program for members, guest and employees.
21. Assist Human Resources in annual Employee Picnic and Christmas Party.
22. Develop employee activities programs to be provided throughout the year.
23. Produce a yearly budget to include labor, supplies, cost of events, equipment uniforms.
24. Provide a safe area for co-workers, guests and members.
25. Follow all company safety procedures.
26. Attend required meetings and training courses.
27. Perform and follow up on any other duties assigned by the Director of Surf Club Operations.
