Job Description:

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Wedding & Special Events Sales Manager who will play a pivotal role in ensuring our weddings are nothing short of magical.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Love Stories: Respond to all wedding inquiries from various channels (RFPs, Knot, Wedding Wire, Phone, etc.) and connect with couples to understand their unique visions.
  • Enchanting Tours: Conduct captivating wedding site tours for prospective couples, showcasing the charm and elegance of our venue.
  • Seamless Contracting: Oversee the contracting of all wedding events, including rehearsal dinners and farewell brunches, ensuring every detail is perfectly planned.
  • Exclusive Room Blocks: Manage and coordinate wedding room blocks to provide seamless accommodations for guests.
  • Trendsetter: Stay ahead of bridal market trends, offering insightful and inspiring suggestions to couples for a truly personalized wedding experience.
  • Expert Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all wedding and catering offerings, and communicate these effectively to clients.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and nurture strong relationships with top wedding vendor partners to deliver exceptional service.
  • Proactive Prospecting: Actively seek out new opportunities both locally and regionally to grow our wedding business.
  • Expand Our Reach: Elevate our venue as a premier destination wedding location in key markets.
  • Bridal Events: Represent us at local and regional bridal events, showcasing our offerings and connecting with potential clients.
  • Industry Involvement: Participate in industry-related organizations like NACE and MPI to stay connected and informed.
  • Data Management: Keep wedding booking and pace reports up-to-date for smooth operations.
  • Curate Offerings: Maintain and update all wedding menus, packages, and member incentives, ensuring they are fresh and enticing.
  • Maximize Revenue: Drive revenue by selling enhanced menus, additional wedding weekend events, and unique resort experiences.
  • Client Journey: Manage weddings from initial inquiry through to the tasting, working closely with the Wedding Sales Manager & Coordinator for a flawless transition.
  • VIP Treatment: Be on-site as needed for large or VIP wedding events, providing exceptional service and attention.
  • Collaborative Meetings: Attend BEO/wedding meetings during the wedding week to ensure every detail is executed to perfection.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree in Hospitality or relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience in wedding sales, event planning, or a related field preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to captivate and inspire.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks seamlessly.
  • Professional demeanor with a customer-focused mindset and a courteous attitude.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the demands of the role.
