The Opportunity 

Delaware North Gaming is hiring trained part-time Paramedics to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. If you are seeking a role where you can see first hand the impact of the work you do, this could be the best bet for you. As a Paramedic, you will be performing direct illness and injury assessment, preparing individuals for transport, and transfer information to receiving ambulance company.

Responsibilities 

  • Perform interventions with basic and advanced equipment typically found on an ambulance
  • Follow safety, environmental, and infection control standards, inspecting emergency medical equipment to ensure service ability and compliance with safety and infection control regulations and standards
  • Complete and transfer patient care information and records, complete paperwork and reports required by State and Federal regulations, and follow all HIPAA regulations
  • Drive company vehicles, both standard and automatic transmission, for the purpose of patrolling grounds

Qualifications 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possesses the complex knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation
  • Successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Paramedic program, or a program that has a CAAHEP "Letter of Review", within the past two years
  • Ability to obtain the relevant state gaming license
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test.

Physical Requirements 

  • Standing, walking up and down stairs, sitting, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions for the duration of shift
  • Appropriate visual and hearing perception
