JOB OVERVIEW:To supervise and maintain in the overall efficient operation of the Beverage Department. Serve and engage our curator guests with beverages and/or items on the menu in a professional, competent, and prompt manner while creating the latest in specialty cocktails.

REPORTS TO:       Chef and B


  1. Assist in the creation of and maintenance of a unique beverage experience for our guests.
  2. Prepare beverage requisition for liquor.
  3. Contribute to mixology experience by continuously exploring new ideas for craft cocktails.
  4. Create a pleasant, friendly, hospitable, effective and professional working atmosphere at all times. Perform duties in the prescribed safe manner using the established procedures and proper equipment.
  5. Inform all guests of B&F and bar promotional activities.
  6. Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
  7.  Assists in the preparation of staff schedules, revenues and expense forecasts using a computer. 
  8. Maintains proper inventories of all Beverage products both in the operating beverage areas as well as in relevant storerooms.
  9. Observes, monitors and controls all costs, portion controls and quality of beverage products and services on a daily basis.
  10. Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  11. Ensure that all operating equipment is in proper working order, and that equipment and supplies are sanitary and clean
  12. Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
  13. Set up and break down bar in accordance with brand standards.
  14. Make cocktails in accordance Beverage Standards using standard jigger. Work professionally with all guests and fellow associates.
  15. Follow all check handling procedures, including all credit card policies and procedures
  16. Comply with established procedures in the standard beverage manual regarding the serving of alcohol to and the identification of minors.
  17. Maintain cleanliness and safety within B&F outlets and corresponding back of house space.
  18. Other duties as required.


Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition.   Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.   Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of mathematics and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to interact with vendors and department heads. Micros software program knowledge is helpful.
