Job Summary
The Director of Sales will be responsible for all aspects of the sales division, constantly developing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the Company, maintain strong relationships with existing clients, while ensuring client satisfaction. The successful candidate should have strong internet marketing abilities and an aggressive and innovative approach to sales.
Responsibilities
•Works on a consistent basis with sales personnel to implement sales strategies to achieve maximum sales generation and optimal revenue growth for the hotel and Park & Jet.
•Develop and maintain relationships with existing accounts to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
•Identify new market opportunities and expand the customer base through proactive business development efforts.
•Establish and monitor all web marketing and third-party channel marketing opportunities.
•Travel to meet with or call individual corporate, social and convention clients by telephone or site visits.
•Write negotiated rate contracts and letters to stay competitive, as well as organize all other arrangements as they relate to business for the Company.
•Direct and manage all groups, transient and catering/banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel.
•Responsible for effectively selling the hotel, and Park & Jet, with a strong focus on third party channel marketing.
•Accurate and timely preparation of sales contracts and group resumes. Review function contracts prior to distribution to client and hotel staff.
•Coordinate with other hotel departments to facilitate the services agreed upon by the Sales Office and clients.
•Motivate, empower, and coach the sales team throughout the employment cycle to create a positive work environment and culture.
•Provides guest service and timely follow up that meets or exceeds customer expectations and company standards.
Skills & Qualifications
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong organizational skills including follow up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
•Ability to analyze financial and competitive data to make informed decisions.
•Prior experience leading, motivating, and managing successful sales teams.
•Ability to positively communicate and interact with all hotel departments.
•A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
•Prior Director of Sales Experience (4+ years) preferred.
•3-5 years of previous experience within hotel sales required.
