What will I be doing?

Content Creator serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi is responsible for producing engaging and visually compelling content that aligns with the resort’s brand guidelines and marketing objectives. This role involves capturing, editing, and managing high-quality photographs and videos for various platforms, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the resort’s marketing strategies. The ideal candidate should have a creative eye, technical expertise, and a strong ability to tell stories visually to enhance the resort’s online and offline presence.

  • Capture high-quality photographs and videos to meet the resort’s marketing content needs, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and objectives.
  • Develop creative concepts and visual storytelling ideas in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Edit and produce polished content for use across social media, websites, advertisements, brochures, and other platforms.
  • Attend and document resort events, activities, and special occasions to capture key moments creatively and effectively.
  • Ensure all content highlights the unique experiences and luxury offerings of the resort.
  • Maintain and organize a comprehensive library of digital assets for easy accessibility by the marketing team and other departments.
  • Regularly update content to ensure relevance and alignment with current marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to understand content requirements and contribute to the development of strategic campaigns.
  • Liaise with other departments to fulfill specific content requests, including F&B promotions, spa initiatives, and guest activities.
  • Partner with external agencies or freelancers when needed to enhance content output.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in photography, videography, and digital storytelling.
  • Experiment with innovative techniques to improve the quality and engagement of content.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the resort’s brand image and standards, maintaining a consistent tone and aesthetic across platforms.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by creatively showcasing the resort’s unique offerings and luxurious atmosphere.
  • Monitor the performance of digital content, analyzing engagement and reach to optimize future strategies.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to the marketing team on content effectiveness
  • Maintain and manage photography and videography equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
  • Use advanced editing software to enhance visual assets, ensuring professional-quality output.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on basic photography, videography, and content creation skills when necessary.
  • Develop and document content creation processes and guidelines for consistency and scalability.

Requirements

Experience

  • Proven experience as a photographer, videographer, or content creator, preferably in the luxury or hospitality industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative and high-quality photography and videography work.
  • Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Excellent understanding of visual storytelling, lighting, composition, and editing techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends, platform requirements, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Detail-oriented, innovative, and passionate about creating engaging content

Hilton’s top luxury brand Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts is set to once again foray into the Maldives, with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi Resort in early 2019.

The resort, to be run under one of two luxury brands in Hilton’s portfolio, will span three islands in South Male Atoll that are accessible by a short 20-minute speedboat ride from the Maldives main Velana International Airport.
