Waldorf Astoria Orlando is looking for a Pool Side Restaurant and Recreation Manager to join the Food & Beverage Team!  

Surrounded by Walt Disney Resort, this luxurious Forbes 4-Star property has 502 rooms, 30,000 square feet of banquet space, and 7 food and beverage outlets. This includes 3 restaurants, 2 bars, a pool, and in-room dining.  

In this role, you will be Aquamarine & Recreation department. You will be overseeing 30 line level Front of House employees, a Recreation Manager and will be reporting to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage.

The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader with passion for creating extraordinary experiences. At least 2 years of restaurant management experience in an upscale dining environment is required. Strong beverage knowledge and prior luxury hotel experience are a plus. Prior leadership experience in a recreation environment is required.

  • Classification: Full-Time

What will I be doing?

As a Pool Side Restaurant and Recreation Manager, you will direct and organize the activities of the pool side restaurant, Aquamarine, and the Recreation department to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.

  • Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation. Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
  • Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.
  • Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.
  • Monitor quality of service by observing or asking customers about needs; resolve customer complaints about service, food quality, etc. by assessing problem and taking immediate action.
  • Plan and direct all functions of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
  • Manages and motivates all recreation personnel to include supervision, training, communicating objectives for the day, scheduling and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction.
