Banquet Captain Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Banquet Captain to oversee our banquet events. The Banquet Captain will be responsible for ensuring that all banquet events run smoothly and efficiently, from setup to breakdown. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with event planners to ensure all details are in place for each event
• Supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and setup crew
• Ensure that all banquet areas are set up according to the event plan
• Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring that all guests are served in a timely and professional manner
• Handle any issues or concerns that arise during the event
• Ensure that all banquet areas are cleaned and returned to their original state after the event
• Manage inventory and ordering of banquet supplies
• Train and mentor banquet staff

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Banquet Captain or similar role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lead and manage a team
• Knowledge of food and beverage service
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
